The Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve (AMAL) is a legal entity of public law and associative nature, consisting of the 16 municipalities of Algarve. Its mission is to enhance municipal development and strengthen the joint identity of the region, responding to the common needs of its partners. It is developing its activity in different areas, like the definition of Regional Development Strategies and Plans, the planning in the mobility and transport area, etc.
