The Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria (INIA), which is a public organism, features the Centro para la Investigación Forestal Internacional (CIFOR) (Center for International Forestry Research), which carries out an important part of the forestry research in Spain, along with organizations and forums from Europe and the rest of the world. Its goal is to provide society with scientific knowledge and the necessary services for a productive and sustainable management of our forest resources.
