The Estación Biológica of Doñana is a Public Research Institute belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), within the Natural Resources area. Its main mission is to carry out a multidisciplinary research at the highest level and directed at understanding, from an evolutionary point of view, the way in which biodiversity is generated, the way in which it is preserved and deteriorates, as well as the consequences of its loss and the possibilities for its conservation and restoration.
