This event has been carried out in the Navigation Pavilion of Seville, Camino de los Discoverimientos, 2, 41092 Sevilla.

Within the framework of this event, the Director-General of the Finnova Foundation, Juan Manuel Revuelta Pérez, had a space in the central area of the Plaza (Ágora), on December 17, 2019 at 12:00, where he has discussed the opportunities offered by the CILIFO project and its Firefighting Open Innovation Lab to those entrepreneurs who have innovative ideas for the adaptation and mitigation of climate change and the fight against forest fires.

CILIFO is a Spain-Portugal cross-border cooperation project, funded by the INTERREG VA Spain-Portugal Cross-Border Cooperation Program (POCTEP) 2014-2020, whose objective is to be a center to promote, train and cooperate in innovation for the fight against climate change and forest fires. For that purpose, it has the Firefighting Open Innovation Lab, which is an accelerator managed by the Finnova Foundation, based in Seville with the aim of promoting a network of incubators, under a private public partnership scheme, to capture innovation and technology worldwide and to pursue the fight against forest fires and the mitigation and adaptation of climate change.

Among the services offered by the accelerator, Juan Manuel Revuelta Pérez highlighted the advice on the search for European funding, the support in the search for international partners, the possibility of working in a network within a Public-Private Partnership and testing these technologies in a real environment through pilot tests.
