05.04.2021. The pioneering accelerator in the forest fire and forest management sector, Firefighting Open Innovation Lab – CILIFO, launches an exhaustive catalogue with the projects in the field of combating climate change of the accelerated companies and collaborating entities.
This accelerator of companies and technologies in the sector of prevention and extinction of forest fires and recovery of burnt areas in the Alentejo-Algarve-Andalusia Euroregion is managed by Finnova as part of its activities within the CILIFO Project. CILIFO is a European project funded by the European Programme for Cross-border Cooperation Interreg V-A Spain-Portugal (Interreg POCTEP 2014-2020) and is the most funded POCTEP project in the history of the European Union (24.6 million euros) in the field of forest fires and climate change adaptation and mitigation. The main objective of the Firefighting Open Innovation Lab – CILIFO is to support the initiatives of entrepreneurs and companies in the field of forest fires and climate change through innovation for the prevention, action and recovery of burnt areas.
The catalogue compiles, for the first time, a detailed description of the projects of the twenty-two accelerated companies and the two collaborating projects, showing the specific field of action and the technology developed by the innovative companies from the nine participating European countries.
